  • Five or six hotdogs or sausages
  • Three pairs of chopsticks
  • One cup of panko breadcrumbs
  • Standard cooking oil
  • White sugar
  • Condiments of choice

For Batter:

  • 1 ¼ cup all-purpose flour
  • 2 tablespoons of granulated white sugar
  • Half tablespoon of salt.
  • 2 tablespoons of baking powder
  • 125 ml cold milk
  • 1 large egg chilled

The Process:

First, break the chopsticks and cut the hotdogs.

Put them into the refrigerator and move on to prepare the batter.

Take flour, salt, sugar, and baking powder into a container or bowl. Whisk the ingredients until blended.

Now add the milk and egg into the bowl and keep whisking until it gets thick. The batter’s consistency is needed to ensure that it is thick and sticky.

Now take a plate to put the panko in it.

Take household cooking oil into a pan. Ensure that you have enough oil that covers the entire hot dog. Now, heat the oil and set the temperature up to 175°C.

Ingredients For Classic Korean Corn Dog Recipe:

For Corn dogs:

  • 4 hotdogs
  • 180g mozzarella cheese block
  • Three pairs of chopsticks
  • Two cups of panko breadcrumbs
  • Household cooking oil
  • White sugar

For Batter:

  • One cup lukewarm water
  • 1 tablespoon of active dry yeast
  • Three tablespoons of white sugar
  • 1 ½ cup of flour (all-purpose)
  • Half tablespoon of kosher salt

The Process:

First, you have to deal with skewers! Now, here you have the option. Either you can make a half-and-half corndog, or you can add cheese cubes and hot dog cubes, or you can prepare them as skewers. However, ensure that your mozzarella is cold enough and doesn’t melt during the process.

We will advise you to keep them in the refrigerator and bring them out when your oil is hot.

Batter:

First, pour the dry yeast into the lukewarm water. Stir them and keep them aside till yeast gets dissolve.

Potatoes in place of panko: Instead of using panko, you can use sliced and peeled potatoes that are partially cooked. After covering your corn dogs with batter, roll them in potatoes, not in panko. This will give your Korean corn dog a new and delicious taste!
